About Evie

Backstory

When I was in college, I was attracted to both the business world and the world of psychology. I was always trying to balance my interests in the practical with people and relationships. I spent 20 years working with people in the business world, growing corporate responsibility in the area of Human Resources. I worked with small, high technology companies and received wonderful life experiences while learning to be a valued, productive leader and team player.

Qualifications

In the second half of my life, my initial fascination with people was reawakened. I earned an M.A. in Counseling Psychology, with an Emphasis in Depth Psychology from Pacifica Graduate Institute in 2010. I completed my Clinical Internship with Odyssey Family Counseling, an intensive outpatient service for women with addictions. I finished my Residency for Licensure with Care and Counseling Center of Georgia, where I met the requirements for the state of Georgia as both a Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC) and a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT) in 2013.

Continuing Education

I continue my training as a professional in several ways. I meet all the requirements necessary for my licensure by the State of Georgia for CEUs (Continuing Education Units). I pursued analytical training as a Training Candidate International with the C. G. Jung Institute-Zurich, earning a certificate of Theoretical Knowledge in Analytical Psychology in the Further Education Program.  I am a member of the Atlanta Jung Society. I actively participate in a peer consultation group. Finally, I’ve benefited from participation in professional support groups and individual therapy at crucial junctures in my life.
